Innovative Interfaces Buys Polaris – Two Major Library Tech Companies Join Strengths

Innovative Interfaces, the library technology company I work with as Director, Library Futures has acquired Polaris Library Systems. No, this is not an April fool’s joke.

“This is the combination of two companies with complementary strengths that will allow us to better serve the technology needs of public libraries,” says Kim Massana, CEO of Innovative.

Innovative is based in the bay area (Emeryville, California just off the bridge) and has offices in Dublin and India.

Polaris is a leading provider of technology to public libraries in the U.S. Polaris is based in Syracuse, New York and will maintain that office in the new organization.
